Affiliate Policy

The rules of the partner program: who can join, how referrals are tracked, how commissions are earned, and how and when you get paid.

1. Introduction & acceptance

This Affiliate Policy (the “Policy”) is the agreement between you (“Partner”, “you”) and Iconic Apps, operated by Arham Web Works Private Limited (“we”, “us”), that governs your participation in the Iconic Apps Partners program (the “Program”). It applies to every individual Program for our apps, together with the program-specific terms shown on each Program page.

By creating an account, joining a Program, or sharing a referral link you confirm that you have read and accept this Policy, the Promotion Guidelines, the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Program.

2. Definitions

  • Apps — the Shopify apps published by Iconic Apps that have an active Program.
  • Referral Link — the unique link, containing your partner code, that you use to direct merchants to an App listing, including any short tracked link we provide.
  • Referred Merchant — a Shopify merchant who installs an App through your Referral Link and whose install is credited to you under section 4.
  • Qualifying Payment — a payment actually received by us from a Referred Merchant for an App, to the extent the relevant Program counts it toward commission (for example subscription, usage or one-time charges), excluding taxes and amounts later refunded or charged back.
  • Commission — the amount you earn under a Program’s rules, as shown on its Program page and in your dashboard.

3. Eligibility & enrollment

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to enter a binding agreement. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

  • Information you give us — including your name, website, promotion plan and payout details — must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • You may hold one partner account. Duplicate or shared accounts may be merged or closed.
  • Some Programs accept partners immediately; others require approval. We may accept or decline any application, or remove a partner from a Program, at our discretion and are not required to give reasons.
  • Your Referral Link only earns Commission once you are enrolled in the relevant Program.

4. Referral links & tracking

Each Program gives you a personal partner code, appended to the App’s listing link as ?mref=your-code. We also provide a short link on this site that records clicks before forwarding to the same destination.

Attribution

  • First referral wins. A store’s install is credited to the first enrolled partner who referred it. Later referrals for the same install do not replace it.
  • Attribution is per install. If a Referred Merchant uninstalls, the Program page states whether the referral is kept or removed if they do not reinstall within a stated period.
  • Only enrolled partners are credited. Referrals made before you are enrolled, or while an application is pending, may not be credited.

Limits of tracking

Tracking depends on third-party platforms and browsers, and installs are matched to referral codes as data syncs from Shopify. We do not guarantee that every referral will be tracked, or that tracking will be instantaneous. Our records of clicks, referrals, payments and Commissions are the records used to calculate what you are owed, and are final absent manifest error.

5. Commissions

Commission is calculated using the rules shown on the Program page, which may include a percentage of Qualifying Payments, a commission window (a fixed number of months, or for as long as the merchant remains subscribed), a one-time install bounty, a sign-up bonus, a minimum plan value and the revenue types that count.

  • Commission accrues only on Qualifying Payments. Free plans, free trials, development or test stores and payments we do not receive do not earn Commission.
  • The commission window begins at the Referred Merchant’s first Qualifying Payment unless the Program page says otherwise.
  • A one-time sign-up bonus is earned once, on the first Qualifying Payment. An install bounty is earned once per credited install.
  • We may change a Program’s rules, or close a Program. Changes apply to referrals credited after the change; Commission on existing referrals continues on the rules in force when they were credited.
  • Commissions are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

6. Reversals & adjustments

We may reverse or adjust Commission where:

  • the underlying payment is refunded, credited or charged back;
  • the referral was a self-referral, or was generated by fraud, abuse, incentivised installs or any other breach of this Policy or the Promotion Guidelines;
  • the Commission was calculated in error.

Reversed Commissions no longer count toward your balance. If a Commission is reversed after it has been paid, we may deduct the amount from future payouts or ask you to repay it.

7. Payouts

  • You can request a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the minimum shown there. Balances below the minimum carry over.
  • You must have a confirmed email address and a valid PayPal address on file before requesting a payout.
  • Payouts are made in US dollars to the PayPal account you provide. We process requests in batches and aim to pay within 30 days of a request, subject to any verification we need to carry out.
  • Fees charged to you by your payment provider, and any currency conversion, are your responsibility.
  • We may hold payouts, or your whole account, while we investigate suspected fraud or a breach of this Policy, or where we need tax or identity information from you.
  • If you provide incorrect payout details, we are not responsible for funds sent to that account.

8. Taxes

You are responsible for all taxes and duties on money you earn from the Program. We may ask you for tax details (for example a tax ID or residency information) and may withhold or report amounts where the law requires. Commission amounts are stated before any such withholding.

9. Promotion rules & prohibited conduct

You must promote the Apps honestly and lawfully and follow the Promotion Guidelines, which form part of this Policy. In particular, you must not:

  • refer yourself, or stores owned or controlled by you, your company or people you act with;
  • make false or misleading claims about an App, our company or Shopify, or imply that you represent or are endorsed by us or Shopify;
  • offer incentives to install or review an App, or post fake reviews;
  • bid on our brand or App names as keywords, or register domains, social handles or app listings that use or resemble our marks;
  • use spam, cookie stuffing, forced clicks, malware, or any deceptive technique to generate referrals;
  • attempt to identify, contact or solicit Referred Merchants using information obtained through the Program.

10. Brand & intellectual property

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the names, logos and descriptions of the Apps that we make available to you solely to promote the Apps in line with the Promotion Guidelines. All rights remain with us or our licensors. You must stop using our marks when we ask or when your participation ends.

Shopify and related marks belong to Shopify Inc. The Program is not affiliated with or endorsed by Shopify, and you must not suggest it is.

11. Data & privacy

We show you limited information about your referrals — dates, status and the Commission each has earned — and mask store identities to protect merchants. You must not use Program data for any purpose other than tracking your own performance, and you must comply with applicable privacy law in your own promotion.

12. Confidentiality

Non-public information you receive through the Program — such as unreleased features, pricing plans, or beta access — is confidential. Do not disclose or use it except to promote the Apps as we permit.

13. Suspension & termination

  • You can stop participating at any time by closing your account or contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account, or remove you from any Program, at any time. We may do so immediately if we reasonably believe you have breached this Policy.
  • Commission already earned and not reversed remains payable subject to this Policy. If we end your participation for breach, we may withhold or cancel unpaid Commission related to the breach.
  • If we end your participation for reasons other than breach, Commission on referrals already credited continues to accrue until the end of each Program’s commission window, subject to this Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including reversals, taxes, intellectual property, confidentiality, liability and governing law) survive.

14. Changes to the Program or this Policy

We may update this Policy or any Program from time to time. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, notify you by email or in your dashboard. Changes take effect when posted (or at a later date we state). If you keep participating after a change, you accept it; if you do not accept it, you should stop participating.

15. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Program is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including that the Program, our Apps or our tracking will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no promise about the amount you will earn.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising from the Program will not exceed the Commission paid or payable to you in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your promotion, your content, or your breach of this Policy or applicable law.

17. Independent relationship

You are an independent contractor. Nothing in the Program creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, agency or franchise relationship, and you have no authority to bind us or make commitments on our behalf.

18. Governing law & disputes

This Policy is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.

19. General

This Policy, together with the documents it references, is the entire agreement about the Program. If part of it is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours to an affiliate or a successor. Contact: partners@geticonicapps.com.
